Pensions Advice UK is an introducer service only. We do not provide financial advice, make recommendations, or assess your suitability for any financial product. Any advice you receive will be provided by a separately regulated, FCA-authorised financial adviser firm.

1. About Us

Pensions Advice UK is a trading name operated by GAP GNX Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 12013134), with its registered office at:

GAP GNX Ltd
The Glades, Festival Way, Festival Park
Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST1 5SQ
Email: support@gapgnx.com

GAP GNX Ltd is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority to provide financial advice or arrange deals in investments. GAP GNX Ltd operates solely as a marketing and introducer business.

2. Our Commitment to Consumers

Pensions Advice UK is a strong advocate for consumers connecting with qualified, FCA-authorised financial advisers. We believe that access to regulated pension and financial advice is important, and that consumers deserve to be connected with professionals who are properly qualified, regulated, and accountable.

Our purpose is to make that connection straightforward. Every firm on our panel is FCA-authorised, and we check and review their regulatory status before and during any arrangement with them.

We will always be transparent about our role. We are an introducer, not an adviser. We will never present ourselves as anything more than that, and we will always ensure you understand who will be providing your advice before any introduction takes place.

3. Our Role — What We Do and Do Not Do

What we do:

  • Connect individuals who have pension-related enquiries with FCA-authorised financial adviser firms
  • Collect basic enquiry information from you — contact details and a general description of your enquiry
  • Make an initial telephone contact to confirm your details and the general nature of your enquiry
  • Pass your confirmed details to an FCA-authorised financial adviser firm from our panel
  • Where relevant, signpost consumers to appropriate pension-related services

What we do not do:

  • Provide financial advice of any kind
  • Make recommendations about pension products, investments, or financial strategies
  • Assess your suitability for any financial product or service
  • Arrange or facilitate investment transactions
  • Act on your behalf in relation to any financial decision
  • Participate in, oversee, or influence any advice given to you by an adviser firm
  • Carry out pension tracing activity ourselves

Our involvement ends once your details have been passed to an FCA-authorised firm or you have been directed to an appropriate third-party service. From that point, your relationship is solely with that firm or service provider.

4. How Our Service Works

When you use our service, the following process applies:

  1. You submit your enquiry. You provide basic contact details and a general description of your enquiry via our website or by telephone.
  2. We confirm your details. A member of our team contacts you to confirm your information. We may ask basic questions to understand the general nature of your enquiry. We will not conduct a fact-find, assess your circumstances, or provide any form of financial guidance at this stage.
  3. We make the introduction. Your confirmed details are passed to an FCA-authorised financial adviser firm from our panel, or where applicable you are directed to an appropriate service as described in Section 7.
  4. The adviser contacts you. The adviser firm contacts you directly to discuss your circumstances and, where appropriate, provide regulated financial advice.

You are under no obligation to proceed with any adviser firm or service to whom we direct you. The decision to engage rests entirely with you.

5. FCA-Authorised Adviser Firms

We introduce consumers exclusively to firms that are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We check each firm’s status on the FCA Register prior to entering into any introducer arrangement and conduct periodic reviews of their registered status.

You can verify the regulatory status of any firm you are introduced to at register.fca.org.uk. We strongly encourage you to do so before engaging with any adviser.

We are not responsible for the advice, conduct, or services provided by any FCA-authorised firm to whom we introduce you. Any complaint regarding financial advice received should be directed to the adviser firm concerned, and if unresolved, to the Financial Ombudsman Service at financial-ombudsman.org.uk.

6. Our Remuneration

We receive a fixed fee from FCA-authorised adviser firms for each qualifying consumer introduction. This fee is paid by the adviser firm. We do not charge you any fee for our service.

  • Our fee is fixed and pre-agreed with each adviser firm
  • It is not linked to whether you proceed with advice following the introduction
  • We do not receive commission, trail payments, or any remuneration contingent on advice outcomes
  • Our fee does not vary based on the type, value, or outcome of any financial product you may enter into

7. Pension Tracing Enquiries

We do not ourselves provide a pension tracing service. Where you contact us with an enquiry about locating a lost or forgotten pension, we will direct you to one of the following:

  • An FCA-authorised adviser firm from our panel. A number of the adviser firms we work with include pension tracing as part of their initial client engagement at no charge to you. Any tracing activity is carried out entirely by the adviser firm. We play no part in that process.
  • A specialist third-party pension tracing service. Where appropriate, we may direct you to an independent third-party service that specialises in locating pension arrangements. We have no involvement in, and take no responsibility for, the service provided by any such third party.

In all cases, our role is limited to signposting you to the appropriate service. We do not collect pension-specific data for tracing purposes, make enquiries with pension providers, or provide any advice or recommendation in relation to any pension located.

8. Your Responsibilities

By using our service, you confirm that:

  • The information you provide to us is accurate, complete, and up to date
  • You understand that we do not provide financial advice and that any advice you receive will come from a separately regulated FCA-authorised firm
  • Any financial decision you make will be based on regulated advice from an FCA-authorised adviser, or on your own independent judgement
  • You are aged 18 or over

9. Data Protection and Privacy

We collect and process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By submitting your details, you consent to:

  • Being contacted by us to confirm your enquiry details
  • Your details being passed to an FCA-authorised adviser firm for the purpose of arranging an introduction, or to a third-party service where applicable

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We will not sell, rent, or pass your personal data to any third party other than as described above, or as required by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GAP GNX Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Any financial advice provided by, or any act or omission of, any FCA-authorised adviser firm to whom we introduce you
  • Any services provided by any third-party pension tracing service to which we direct you
  • Any financial decision you make, whether on the basis of regulated advice or otherwise
  • Any loss arising from services provided by an FCA-authorised firm following an introduction

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Complaints

If you have a complaint about our introducer service, please contact us at:

We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and aim to resolve it within 10 working days.

If your complaint relates to financial advice received from an FCA-authorised adviser firm, direct your complaint to that firm in the first instance. If you remain dissatisfied, you may refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service at financial-ombudsman.org.uk.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with the date of last update shown. Your continued use of our service following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
